#TonyMoly Banana Sleeping Pack

I honestly forget why I even bought this. I'm sure it wasn't a gift, maybe it was something Bug saw and wanted to try (because at the time I bought my first bottle he was doing a small routine with his mommy each night) or maybe I just thought the packaging was too cute to pass up for the price (I'll get there, don't worry). Either way - this is my third bottle and like most products in my stash at this point, I haven't reviewed it!

#TonyMoly Earth Beauty Mud Mask Sheet #Review

Mud masks traditionally are great for oily skin types, and (as my mother recently pointed out) good for tightening saggy or wrinkly skin. The problem I have with mud and clay masks is that they are a huge hassle to remove - so much rinsing, and usually scrubbing in my case. I hate it! So when I saw a mud mask in the form of a sheet mask, I had to grab it. I've tried this mask before, but never reviewed it - so when I tried it again recently I decided to take some photos to show you how it works for me!

TonyMoly Earth Beauty Mud [Peeling] Mask
Purchased by me in a set from Memebox USA. *affiliate*

Like I mentioned above, this mask is a mud mask, which makes is ideal for oily skin. This mask is supposed to be made of high quality mud that absorbs oil and impurities from your skin as it dries, and remove dead skin as well when you peel the hardened mud away from your skin. It deep cleanses, preventing oiliness and pimples from occurring.

Ingredients: Water (Aqua), Bentonite , Kaolin , Glycerin, Butylene Glycol , Clay (1,000 ppm), niacinamide, Betula Alba (birch sap) Juice, Chamomila Recutita (matricaria) Flower Extract , Hamamelis Virginiana (witch hazel) Extract, Portulaca Oleracea extract, Aloe Barbadenssis (aloe vera) leaf extract, xanthan gum , Volcanic Ash, Hydrolyzed Collagen, Allantoin, disodium EDTA, PEG-60 hydrogenated castor oil, red iron oxide (CI 77491), yellow iron oxide (CI 77492), black iron oxide (CI 77499), methylparaben, fragrance.

According to the CosDNA analysis; Butylene Glycol is the only potential acne trigger rating a minuscule 1/5.

When I opened the pouch the mask was layered in plastic sheets to keep it in tact and prevent it from sticking together. It smelled like mud, with perhaps a light floral undertone? That scent disappeared quickly and soon I just detected clay mask scent...

It was easiest for me to remove both pieces of plastic from the top half of the mask first, then apply it - it was too difficult to leave on side of plastic on and try to remove it after I got the mask situated. The mud was too sticky. Then I repeated the process for the bottom half. The mask sticks to the skin very well - I got a prefect fit with extra coverage, and it stayed in place the entire time I wore it. It wasn't as tightening as a regular clay mask drying on your skin, but I could tell it was getting harder the longer I wore it.

It took roughly an hour for the mask to dry - except for the center of my cheeks where the top and bottom halves overlapped.

I loved that this mask peeled off of my face in one complete piece - that was the most least messy mud mask I've ever used in my life -

My skin was definitely less oily afterwards, and that effect lasted a couple days. I did notice it seemed to pull something to the surface on my nose, and I was able to scratch away a tiny whitehead the following morning. I guess my only complaint about this mask was that it seemed to have irritated my face when I peeled it away - it left some redness and stinging around the outside of my face and on my forehead. This went away overnight, but it may be too harsh for someone with more sensitive skin.

TonyMoly Pureness 100 Snail Mask Sheet [Review]

TonyMoly Pureness 100 Snail Mask Sheet
21mL | Made in Korea
This mask was purchased by me.
Description: 100% natural unbleached cotton sheet provides moisture and nutrition to damaged skin, soothes stressed skin, and gives a rich glow to skin. -TonyMoly

Ingredients: [Cosdna analysis]

Directions: After cleansing and toning, apply mask to face. Leave on for 20-30 minutes then remove. Pat remaining essence into skin.

My Skin: oily, dehydrated, acne-prone, hormonal cystic acne, sensitive to alcohol, mild anti-aging concerns.

Performance: I love the natural unbleached cotton these Pureness 100 masks have - they're soft and fit great. Unlike other types of TonyMoly masks, these don't have much of a scent - it's very light and disappears quickly. The essence didn't feel especially cooling or anything, but the mask itself did feel very soothing after some targeted chemical exfoliation on my dreaded cystic acne.

My face was more calm after removal, and felt plump and hydrated. The real miserable with this mask was that the following morning my cysts were less than half the size as the night before, and no longer painful!

Verdict: This definitely seems like a mask to use to help with acne - I'm glad I have one more in my stash!

TonyMoly Earth Beauty Kelp Mask Sheet [Review]

By now, this mask is old news... but I still wanted to share my experience with it since I've seen so many mixed feeling about this one. And, you know, masks...
I purchased this mask on my own from Memebox, and this post will contain an affiliate link.

TonyMoly: Earth Beauty Kelp Mask Sheet
25g; Made in Korea

Purpose: [From Memebox] Experience plumper and younger-looking skin with this Kelp mask from Tony Moly. It contains 90.37% eco substances rich in marine nutrients which promote better skin elasticity. This helps the skin produce healthier skin cells and prevent formation of fine lines and wrinkles. Sea Kelp is also known for its numerous health benefits which keeps your skin’s condition healthy. It offers full moisture that lasts for 72 hours!

To Use: After cleansing and toning, carefully place the mask sheet onto your face and leave it for 15 to 20 minutes. After the allotted time, dispose the mask sheet properly and massage the remaining essence onto the face for better absorption.

Ingredients: Laminaria Japonica, Aloe Barbadensis Leaf Extract, Laminaria Japonica Extract, Lactobacillus/Aloe Barbadensis Ferment Filtrate, Serenoa Serrulata Fruit Extract, Angelica Polymorpha Sinensis Root Extract, alpha-bisabolol, Trigonella Foenum-Graecum Seed Extract, Natto Gum, Leonurus Sibiricus Flower/Leaf/Stem Extract, Dioscorea Opposita (Wild Yam) Root Extract, Camellia Japonica Seed Oil, Centella Asiatica Extract, Argania Spinosa Kernel Oil, Anemarrhena Asphodeloides Root Extract, Bambusa Vulgaris Leaf/Stem Extract, Chlorella Ferment, Avena Sativa (Oat) Kernel Extract, Corylus Avellana (Hazel) Seed Oil, Angelica Keiskei Leaf/Stem Extract, Citrus Junos Fruit Extract, Royal Jelly, Paeonia Suffruticosa Root Extract, Xanthan Gum, Scutellaria Baicalensis Root Extract, Plantago Asiatica Extract, Glycyrrhiza Glabra (Licorice) Root Extract, Adenosine, Lavandula Angustifolia (Lavender) Oil, Aniba Rosaeodora (Rosewood) Wood Oil, Citrus Aurantium Bergamia (Bergamot) Fruit Oil, Cymbopogon Schoenanthus Oil

Description: The mask has a yellow-green essence that is thin but slightly sticky. It smells slightly fishy, at first smell I immediately thought of scallops. I've heard many people complain of this smell, but myself (being very sensitive to scents) didn't think this was too overpowering and did start to lessen after a few minutes. It didn't disappear, but it was bearable.

Performance: When I used this mask I was having a bit of trouble with my skin (sores from over-exfoliation and purging), so when I first applied it the essence burned along my jawline. This lasted about 10 minutes, and I almost peeled it off, but it did go away and it did not cause any other irritation other than on the already irritated areas of my face.
This mask is made of real kelp, and is a bit stiff due to that - but it really is more pliable than I expected. It did fit my face fairly well, and it didn't slide around at all.

Despite not feeling soothing in any way (which was a first for me) it did make my face appear much brighter and less irritated than before. Even so, this is not a mask i would repurchase because I can get brightening plus added soothing effects from many other masks.

This mask is available in a TonyMoly Earth Beauty Mask Bundle at Memebox USA.

#TonyMoly Earth Beauty Mask Bundle from #Memebox [Review]

You all know about my love affair with Memebox. It fizzled out earlier this year when they stopped shipping worldwide and their boxes became lackluster compared to last year, but recently they've been stocking some pretty good stuff! This Earth Beauty Mask Bundle from TonyMoly is something I've been looking at for a while, and was thrilled to see Memebox add it to their shop for $15 (affiliate link).
Earth Beauty Mud Mask Sheet
Problems with huge pores, oily skin and dead skin cells? This mask derived from high quality mud extract is the ultimate solution for your troubled skin! It washes away impurities by mildly peeling dead skin off and free your skin from roughness. With its mud clay content, it also controls the skin’s production of sebum to prevent oiliness and pimples from occurring. It deeply cleanses the skin to give your skin a much beautiful texture and a fairer complexion.
How to use: After cleansing and toning, carefully place the mask sheet onto your face and leave it for 15 to 20 minutes. After the allotted time, dispose the mask sheet properly and massage the remaining essence onto the face for better absorption.

Usually mud and clay masks are super drying and too messy for me to want to deal with. I love the idea of a mud mask in the form of a sheet mask. The mud dries and pulls impurities and excess oil from your skin, then you simply peel away the mask - easy peasy. This is a mask I could see myself using a lot in the summer when my skin is oily, breaking out like mad, and needs the extra help that mud masks can offer.

Ingredients: Water (Aqua), Bentonite , Kaolin , Glycerin, Butylene Glycol , Clay (1,000 ppm), niacinamide, Betula Alba (birch sap) Juice, Chamomila Recutita (matricaria) Flower Extract , Hamamelis Virginiana (witch hazel) Extract, Portulaca Oleracea extract, Aloe Barbadenssis (aloe vera) leaf extract, xanthan gum , Volcanic Ash, Hydrolyzed Collagen, Allantoin, disodium EDTA, PEG-60 hydrogenated castor oil, red iron oxide (CI 77491), yellow iron oxide (CI 77492), black iron oxide (CI 77499), methylparaben, fragrance.

Earth Beauty Rice Mask Sheet
Give your skin superior nourishment derived from the goodness of premium rice extract. Rich in antioxidants and known for its exceptional brightening properties, this mask sheet has organic rice as its main ingredient. This promotes brighter, smoother skin and fully nourishes it from within to put your skin at its best state. It also supplies a healthy amount of moisture to keep your skin looking glowy and healthy all day.
How to use: After cleansing and toning, carefully place the mask sheet onto your face and leave it for 15-20 minutes. After the allotted time, dispose the mask sheet properly and massage the remaining essence onto the face for better absorption.

This mask is a bit tricky - you add the liquid to the rice paper, allow it to absorb for a bit, then gently apply it to your face. Make sure the separate the papers before pouring in the liquid, or they'll stick together! I think this is one of my favorites from the set. This mask is great for brightening and I also found it to be very hydrating. It will leave a residue on your face though - so be prepared to give your face a while to soak everything in, or to massage something thinner in over it to get it to absorb faster.

Ingredients: Purified water , glycerin , cetyl ethylhexanoate, niacinamide, sodium chloride, Sodium hyaluronate, Caprylic/Capric Triglyceride , polysorbate 20 , polyacrylate crosspolymer-6, oryza sativa (rice) extract(1000ppm), secale cereale (rye) extract, hordeum distichone (barley) extract, phaseolus radiatus (mung bean) seed extract, polygonum fagopyrun (buckwheat) seed extract, zizania aquatica (wild rice) extract, oryza sativa(rice) germ extract, hamamelis virginiana (witch hazel) water, salvia officinalis (sage) leaf extract, melissa officinalis (lemon balm) leaf extract, arctium majus (burdock) root extract, mentha piperita (peppermint) leaf extract, juniperus commuis fruit extract, viscum album (mistletoe) extract, saponaria officinalis root extract, hypericum perforatum (St John’s wort) extract, adenosine, sodium citrate, disodium EDTA, 1,2-hexanediol , chlorphenesin, phenoxyethanol, fragrance.

Earth Beauty Bubble Mask Sheet
Get rid of dead skin and damaged cells that cause you rough skin! Tony Moly’s Earth Beauty Bubble Mask Sheet contains a rich blend of herbal ingredients fortified with oxygen bubbles that help eliminate dead skin completely. The fine bubbles produced by this mask washes away dirt and damaged cells in order to reveal a much healthier, softer and smoother skin layer. It also leaves a moisture film to protect your skin from damage.
How to use: After cleansing and toning, carefully place the mask sheet onto your face and leave it for 15 to 20 minutes. After the allotted time, dispose the mask sheet properly and massage the remaining essence onto the face for better absorption.

I've seen similar masks like this before, but I've never had the chance to try one. I love bubbling masks because they really help clean out my pores. This mask is extra bubbly - it starts up as soon as you open the package and it just keeps going. This mask did help clear my skin [NOTE: this mask is like a half mask, it only covers your nose, cheeks, and chin) but it dried out my skin too, and caused a small amount of irritation. Either this mask is very harsh or my skin is getting more sensitive as I age.

Ingredients: Purified water, glycerin, cocamidopropyl betaine, sodium cocoyl apple acid, disiloxane, dipropylene glycol, methyl perfluorobutyl ether, methyl perfluoroisobutyl ether, sodium lauroyl glutamate, phenoxyethanol, hydroxyethylcellulose, chlorphenesin, propanediol, fragrance, disodium EDTA, illicium verum (anise) fruit extract, lavandula angustifolia (lavender) extract, camellia sinensis (green tea) leaf extract, carica papaya (papaya) fruit extract, portulaca oleacea extract

Earth Beauty Kelp Mask Sheet
Experience plumper and younger-looking skin with this Kelp mask from Tony Moly.
How to use: After cleansing and toning, carefully place the mask sheet onto your face and leave it for 15 to 20 minutes. After the allotted time, dispose the mask sheet properly and massage the remaining essence onto the face for better absorption.

I love this mask! I got one in the August Mask Box (currently in stock if you're interested) and despite the fishy smell (it's made with real seaweed) and the slimy texture, this mask is very hydrating and manages to help make my skin appear more clear as well. I have a few of these in my stash and I'm hoarding them for when winter comes and the added moisture will really help my face a lot.

Ingredients: Laminaria Japonica (kelp), Aloe Barbadensis Leaf Extract, Laminaria Japonica (kelp) Extract, Lactobacillus/Aloe Barbadensis Ferment Filtrate, Serenoa Serrulata (saw palmetto) Fruit Extract, Angelica Polymorpha Sinensis (Dong Quai) Root Extract, alpha-bisabolol, Trigonella Foenum-Graecum (fenugreek) Seed Extract, Natto Gum, Leonurus Sibiricus (Siberian motherwort) Flower/Leaf/Stem Extract, Dioscorea Opposita (Wild Yam) Root Extract, Camellia Japonica Seed Oil, Centella Asiatica Extract, Argania Spinosa Kernel Oil, Anemarrhena Asphodeloides Root Extract, Bambusa Vulgaris (bamboo) Leaf/Stem Extract, Chlorella Ferment, Avena Sativa (Oat) Kernel Extract, Corylus Avellana (Hazel) Seed Oil, Angelica Keiskei (Ashitaba) Leaf/Stem Extract, Citrus Junos (Yuzu) Fruit Extract, Royal Jelly, Paeonia Suffruticosa Root Extract, Xanthan Gum, Scutellaria Baicalensis Root Extract, Plantago Asiatica Extract, Glycyrrhiza Glabra (Licorice) Root Extract, Adenosine, Lavandula Angustifolia (Lavender) Oil, Aniba Rosaeodora (Rosewood) Wood Oil, Citrus Aurantium Bergamia (Bergamot) Fruit Oil, Cymbopogon Schoenanthus (lemongrass) Oil

This is a great value set, and the price is really a deal, considering each mask is $5 or more on its own. I hope Memebox continues to add great sets like this one!
