About:
The TonyMoly Banana Sleeping Pack is a rich cream designed to hydrate and nourish your skin while you sleep. It contains beeswax (to help hold in moisture), chamomile (for calming inflammatory skin conditions), and banana extract (for a hydrating glow).
Ingredients:
Water, Glycerin, Cetyl Ethylhexanoate, Cetearyl Alcohol, Glyceryl Stearate, Behenyl Alcohol, Beeswax, Petrolatum, Cyclopentasiloxane, Polysorbate 60, Musa Sapientum (Banana) Fruit Extract, Anthemis Nobilis Flower Extract, Pentylene Glycol, Hydroxypropyl Starch Phosphate, Dimethicone, Betaine, Urea, PEG-100 Stearate, Polyacrylamide, Sorbitan Sesquioleate, Caprylyl Glycol, C13-14 Isoparaffin, Magnesium Aluminum Silicate, Dimethiconol Ethylhexylglycerin, Laureth-7, 1,2-Hexanediol, Xanthan Gum, Disodium EDTA, Phenoxyethanol, Parfum, Cl19140, Cl 15985.Where would this fit in a routine?
I use a sleeping pack at the end of my routine, to seal in all the layers I've previously applied. A full routine will look something like this:
Oil cleanser > Cleanser > Toner > Vitamin C > BHA > AHA > Prescription Treatment > Hydrating Toner > First essence > Essence > Serum > Ampoule > Sheet mask > Eye Treatment > Emulsion/Lotion > Cream > Spot Treatment > Sleeping Pack or SunscreenHow do I use it?
I apply a nickel size amount to my fingertips and lightly spread it over my face in streaks. After it's evenly spread out, I gently massage it in until it's covered my whole face (minus eyes and mouth) and leave a bit to absorb on its' own.
My Skin Type:
To get an idea of how this product might work for you, it may be helpful to know what my skin is like when reading my thoughts about the performance of this product. My skin is combination (normal/oily), dehydrated, and acne prone. I have minimal fine lines (mostly under my eyes), hyper-pigmentation from acne scarring and sun damage, and am sensitive to alcohol.
Packaging:
This pack comes housed in an adorable banana bottle which holds 85ml of product. It's easy to squeeze and dispense, until there's only about a quarter of the bottle left, at which point it's quite difficult due to the wide top below the dispenser tip.
The banana top screws on, making this pack secure for travel as well!
Product Details:
This pack is thick - comparable to the Goodal Moisture Barrier Cream, Dr Jart Ceramidin Cream, or Cosrx Honey Ceramide Cream. It is pale yellow in color, and smells like banana candy (Runts more specifically, if you've had the candy).
My Thoughts:
As I mentioned, I don't quite remember why I purchased this pack, but I've honestly loved it very much. Despite my somewhat oily skin type that seemingly breaks out if I look at it the wrong way in the mirror, this pack has been a lovely additional to my ever-rotating routine.
The thick texture is smooth and absorbs nicely. The smell is not terribly overwhelming, nor does it become bothersome if I have a headache.
It's not a miracle product, which seems on par for most stand-alone products, but this is (for me) a solid hydrating overnight cream. The fun packaging and yummy smell is a delightful bonus!
Would I repurchase?
