It's been exactly one year since I last received a Sephora Play box, and I honestly can't tell you why I decided to try it out again. I was in a mopey mood and eager to try something new, experimenting with makeup for a day and realizing everything I had was old and probably needing to be tossed out. It was like fate knocking at my door when I received an email that day letting me know Sephora Play had openings right now. So I signed up. I figured for $10 a month I couldn't loose! Was I right? Lets see...

Dr Jart Water Fuse Water-Full Hydrogel Mask #Review

Tis the most wonderful time of the year - for dry skin! As I thumbed through my mask drawer tonight I spotted this mask I almost forgot I had. From a Sephora order a while back - the Dr Jart Water Fuse Water-Full Hydrogel Mask.

This is a two-piece hydrogel mask comprised of 60% water and hyaluronic acid in a "unique gel polymer material" that allows for more efficient absorption and deeper penetration of the active ingredients into the skin. This mask claims to ease dry, rough, dehydrated skin and reduce fine lines and signs of aging - leaving skin soothed and moisturized. The results are supposed to be immediate (yay for no patience!) The ingredients list has already been ran through CosDNA by someone else, so here's a link to the analysis. No acne triggers or sensitive skin irritants, double win!

This is a pretty thick mask, but very pliable. The outside is covered in a soft cottony material.

This mask hugs my face perfectly! I covers everything and doesn't shift one bit.

The nose is a bit long, but there isn't a gap on either side of my nose - so I'm pretty happy!

I found the gel to be very cooling, and it was very soothing while it "hugged" my face. I've never [to date] tried a mask that fit so well and did not sag or shift in any way. There was no real smell to the mask that I could notice either.

After removal my face felt baby soft and hydrated but not moist to the touch. The gel on the mask had become thin and I could tell the moisture and nutrients had been absorbed into my skin. I'm very pleased with this mask and will purchase more for an occasional skin treat. These masks cost $9 each at Sephora (or $42 for 5) which is very expensive, but [as ashamed as I am to admit it] are worth it if you aren't using them often.

Dr Jart Pore Minimalist Mask #Review

Dr Jart is fairly easily found in the United States and is known for bb creams, masks and professional-quality treatments. Today, I'm trying out their Pore Minimalist Sheet Mask.

This is a black sheet mask formulated with:

• Activated Charcoal: to detox, tighten and purify the pores.
• Spearmint Extract: to improve pore elasticity.
• Arginine: to to clarify the pores.
• Moroccan Lava Clay: to remove dead skin cells and firm the skin. 

This mask is supposed to be good for blemished and oily skin, large pores, and anyone looking for a clear and healthy complexion.

Ingredients:
Water, Glycerin, Dimethyl Sulfone, Butylene Glycol, 1,2-Hexanediol, PEG-32, Glycereth-26, Panthenol, Charcoal Powder, Alcohol Denat., Achillea Millefolium Extract, Arnica Montana Flower Extract, Artemisia Absinthium Extract, Gentiana Lutea Root Extract, Mentha Viridis (Spearmint) Extract, Moroccan Lava Clay, Polyphosphorylcholine, Glycol Acrylate, Arginine, PEG-60 Hydrogenated Castor Oil, Ethylhexylglycerin, Disodium EDTA, Parfum, Potassium Sorbate.

The CosDNA analysis of this mask revealed one small (1 out of 5) acne trigger close to the top of the ingredient list and one large (5 out of 5) skin irritant in the middle of the list. Overall not too terribly worrying, but something to keep an eye out for any issues after use.

Before. I'm breaking out on my chin, nose, and cheeks - so hopefully this mask helps my skin!

I love the black mask! But it's a little stiff...

This is probably the best nose-fitting sheet mask I've tried to-date.

After - Holy calm and clear face Batman! I'm glad I have more of these.

Much to my surprise, this mask really did tighten up my gaping pores. Wowza!

This mask had a fresh clean scent to it, and was soft to the touch, but a little stiff which made it a little harder to get it to stay on my face. It was a little cooling, but I felt no itching or burning or anything else that may indicate it was irritating my skin.

I immediately noticed clarity in my skin after removing the mask, which is awesome because that's why I used it! My face is freaking out today, and at $7.50 a sheet - I sure hope it really does something! I honestly loved this mask and will purchase more when I run out. I bought mine at Sephora.
