Where in my routine does this fit?
I use my facial cream after sheet masking or an emulsion if you use them. A basic guide to skincare order might look something like this:
Oil cleanser > Cleanser > Wash-off Mask > Toner > Vitamin C > BHA > AHA > Prescription Treatment > Hydrating Toner > First essence > Essence > Serum > Ampoule > Sheet mask > Eye Treatment > Emulsion/Lotion > Cream > Spot Treatment > Sleeping Pack or Sunscreen
How do I use it?
This cream is thick and a little goes a long way, so I pick up a pea sized amount with the included spatula, and warm it in my hands by rubbing it between my fingers. Then I gently apply it over my face, and pat it in until absorbed.
Ingredients:
Water, Octyldodecanol, Glycerin, Cyclomethicone, Dimethicone, Cetearyl Alcohol, Butyrospermum Parkii (Shea Butter), Butylene Glycol, Niacinamide, Peg-20 Methyl Glucose Sesquistearate, Caprylic/Capric Triglyceride, Betaine, Caviar Extract, Polysilicone-11, Sodium Polyacrylate, Pearl Extract, Ethylhexyl Stearate, Methyl Glucose Sesquistearate, Glyceryl Caprylate, Ethylhexylglycerin, Tocopheryl acetate, Citrus Aurantifolia (Lime) Fruit Extract, Hydrogenated Lecithin, Selaginella Tamariscina Extract, Fragrance, Trideceth-6, Adenosine, Sodium Hyaluronate, BHT, Disodium EDTA, Gold (Ci 77480), Caramel, Volcanic Soil, Yellow 5 (Ci 19140), Ascorbic Acid, Amylopectin, Hyaluronic Acid.
My Skin Type:
To get an idea of how this product might work for you, it may be helpful to know what my skin is like when reading my thoughts about the performance of this product. My skin is combination (normal/oily), dehydrated, and acne prone. I have minimal fine lines (mostly under my eyes), hyper-pigmentation from acne scarring and sun damage, and am sensitive to alcohol.
Packaging:
This cream comes housed in a faux gator skin box that opens on a hinge. The cream container is a diamond-shaped jar that holds 55ml of product. The jar itself is made of plastic, and comes with a stand it can be placed on, as well as a spatula with a diamond-shaped end.
Product Details:
The cream is creamy white in color with small flecks of gold inside if you look closely. The cream is thick and has a bit of a floral scent that is reminiscent of fancy decorative soaps once applied to the skin. The scent lingers for a few minutes but slowly fades.
First Impressions:
I was incredibly nervous to try such a heavy cream on my sensitive face, but appearances are definitely deciding in this case. Not only does this cream have packaging worth writing home about, the performance thus far has been spectacular as well. I'm excited to try this cream longer-term and see if there's anything I can update on as far as brightening and anti-aging effects.
At this time I am pleased with the hydration it offers while remaining easy to absorb and giving my skin such a beautiful finish.
Would I repurchase?
I'm not sure yet, but I am excited to use this cream longer and find out!
