#GentleMask T-Tox Cleanser
My favorite cleanser for a long time standing has been the Cosrx Low pH Good Morning Gel Cleanser. It's great for my acne, but in the winter months I can find it drying. So the search for a hydrating cleanser that still helped combat my acne was underway, and this was my first stop.

#Rovectin Skin Essentials Conditioning Cleanser Review
I am a skincare junkie. There - I said it. For me, having just one type of product, say a cleanser for instance, isn't enough. Give me three or more to play around with, and as I rotate using them I'll find some content (until I find another one that piques my interest, that is). I guess you could say that it's hard for me to choose favorites. I may like the texture of x, but the scent of y, and the packaging of z - so they all stay in my routine because I couldn't possibly choose just one that works best for me. The Rovectin Skin Essentials Conditioning Cleanser has become a favorite of mine over the past few months, but will it be one to finally cut down my addiction and completely fall in love with?

#Leaders Labotica Cleansing Tissue Review
I think cleansing my face is my least favorite step of my routine. I hate splashing water on my face - getting water and soap in my eyes and nose, wondering if I got it all off, having to hold my breath.... It usually takes a lot of pumping myself up with "I bet you'll see lots of grits from using extra actives yesterday" or "you can use a peeling gel and see how much crap falls off your face" to get myself to start my routine. Other times, I take the easy way out and use a cleansing water or wipe.
A few weeks ago Leaders offered to send me a pack of their Green Tea Lip & Eye Point Remover Cleansing Tissue and I happily accepted. I was even more excited when they also sent me a pack of their Argan Oil Deep Cleansing Tissue as well! I've been using them for two weeks now, and feel like I'm ready to share my thoughts on both items.

#Klavuu Pearlsation Lineup Review from #MochiBeaute
Last month I posted an unboxing from Mochi Beaute, which included a cleanser and sheet mask from Klavuu that I received to try out. Not long afterwards there was a sale, and I purchased the toner from the Pearlsation line. A couple weeks ago I teamed up with Simone from Can I Put It On My Face, and she purchased the Eye Cream and Pearl from from Klavuu for us to try, completing the Klavuu Pearlsation line, and giving me a chance to try everything out!

Illi Total Aging Care Cleansing Water Review
Believe it or not, even with oily skin I'm still at risk of feeling like I've overwashed my face. Mornings are the worst for me - after using Curology my face generally feels "normal" in the morning vs dripping oil like a grease canister. This is a great feeling for me, except that if I wash it in the morning when it's not super oily, my skin ends up feeling more on the dry side all morning, if not all day. So it was then that I set out on my quest for a cleansing water.
Not only was a cleansing water an ideal solution for minimal cleansing, but also for mornings and evenings when I just didn't have the ambition to fully cleanse my face as well. I've tried a couple others that my skin didn't particularly care for.
This was my most anticipated from the three cleansing waters I started out with, and luckily for me - the illi Total Aging Care Cleansing Water became just the skincare unicorn I had been looking for.

Illi is a brand boasting hanbang ingredients - bringing a collaboration of fermented herbal goodness to your skin, christened with the most amazing scents you could imagine. Well, that's my personal opinion anyway - not everyone will enjoy these scents, but even with my susceptibility to migraines the Total Aging Care Cleansing Water (and other illi products I've tried so far) smells like heaven in a bottle and I find myself seeking out more items to try.
If you are unfamiliar with cleansing waters, they are a water infused with mild cleansing agents that do not need to be washed away. When applying them to cotton you can simply wipe away makeup, sunscreen, dirt, and oils - leaving behind skin that feels moist and refreshed. This water is no exception, and is even infused with other vitamins and minerals to soothe and protect all skin types, including sensitive skin.
Ingredients: Water, PEG-6 Caprylic/Capric Glycerides, Panax Ginseng Extract, Camellia Japonica Seed Oil, Camellia Sinensis Leaf Extract, Natto Gum, Glycerin, Butylene Glycol, Glyceryl Caprylate, Disodium EDTA, 1,2-Hexanediol, Fragrance
Camellia sinensis (green tea) provides powerful antioxidant benefits that ward off the effects of aging. It's also an anti-carcinogenic that can minimize the damaging effects of sun exposure. It is also an anti-inflamatory in addition to minimizing the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles.
Camellia japonica also provides antioxidant effects as well as omega and vitamin-rich hydration that is beneficial for anti-aging.
While strong signs of aging are not a current issue for my skin, camellia is at the top of my list of requirements to slow the visible signs of aging as much as possible.
The illi Total Aging Care Cleansing Water comes in an easy to dispense, flip top plastic bottle. It's simple to squeeze or even just shake a small amount out onto a cotton pad.
The water is liquid - just as any other water is - but it has the most intoxicating scent. The camellia, and what I imagine is added fragrance, gives this cleansing water a light floral scent that is sweet with an undertone of honey. The oil and glycerin gives it a nice amount of slip.
To use, I saturate about half of a cotton pad. In the photos below I am using the Cosrx cottons.
My face doesn't look the best here, but this is my full face of makeup after a whole day. I tried a new cushion out and it stayed fairly well, aside from the constant nose-blowing that accompanied the allergies I was dealing with at the time.
As you can see below, it took 6 pads to remove a full face of makeup, including waterproof mascara. To me, this was impressive, considering I generally use two cleansers (oil and "foaming") to remove any makeup. The real test was to see if this removed enough to inhibit any clogged pores the following morning...
...and it passed! Not only did I not have any clogged pores or new acne the following morning, but I only had minimal waterproof mascara left behind in my lashes. I usually have this even after oil cleansing, as sleeping allows my eyes to work this debris out overnight, so I'm really impressed that a cleansing water worked this well.
So, as I mentioned at the beginning of this post, this really has become just what I've been searching for. I use it to cleanse in the morning, and I use it to cleanse most nights now as well - since I haven't been leaving the house in this intense heat. The scent is sometimes all I need to feel better after a long tiring day. And the cleansing power and smooth feeling my skin has afterwards is bringing back a glow I thought I'd never see on my face after I turned 30. I feel confident calling this my holy grail cleansing item right now.

Innisfree Apple Juicy Cleansing Oil Review
This is a long overdue post, that I really don't know why I never finished before, but since I'm nearly out of my current bottle I figured I better get it up now. This is one of the very first cleansing oils I ever used, but the first one that worked well for me and I actually enjoyed using. I've been moving on to different oil cleansers lately, but this one will always be special for showing me how enjoyable oil cleansing can really be.

The Innisfree Apple Juicy Cleansing Oil is a "deep cleaning oil for smooth and healthy skin" according to Innisfree's website. This oil, like other cleansing oils, is used to remove dirt, sebum, makeup and sunscreen effectively from the skin. What makes oil cleansers unique to simply oil cleansing, is that oil cleansers contain emulsifiers that allow you to mix the oil with water while on your face, and rinse it away like a regular cleanser.

This cleansing oil comes in a sturdy clear, green tinted plastic bottle with a pump. I love the pump on this bottle - so much so that I've actually used these to move other products into that have a more crappy pump or no pump at all. It's well made, doesn't slip, and gives an even and clean dispense of product.
The oil itself, as the name suggests it might, really does have an apple scent to it. It's fresh and not overwhelming, but if you are highly sensitive to scents this may be bothersome to you.
Something I really loved about this oil is that it's so smooth and easy to work onto the skin. I use two pumps that I apply to my fingers and just apply it evenly to my face, and lightly over my eyelids and lashes lastly.
I use gentle massage to work the oil into my pores to loosen up dirt and hardened sebum, and to remove any makeup or sunscreen I'm wearing.
Something I love about this oil is that it's effective enough to not only soften up clogs in my skin, but it lubes my pores enough to allow them to pop out of my pores.
This is a great affordable cleansing oil, and it's one that's free from mineral oil for those who do struggle to find effective oils without that ingredient.

AHC Climax Pool Cleanser Review
You all know I love trying new cleansers, but I've been very good at practicing restraint in buying new ones lately as I've found a few that I really do love. The AHC Climax Pool Cleanser is one I bought while I was on my search. Did it live up to my expectations?

A pool cleanser is a thick, syrupy cleanser that requires just a small amount to cleanse the skin. It's gummy texture pulls makeup, dirt, oil, and impurities from your skin with gentle massage onto dry skin, but if you use too much cleanser it becomes useless as it's too slippery and not gummy enough - so it does require some practice to perfect using.
The scent of the AHC Pool Cleanser is fresh - like a clean soapy smell. It's isn't too strong but it's definitely noticeable.
The cleanser is frosty white in color - not completely opaque but it does have a tinge of color to it.
As I mentioned above, it has a gummy, sticky texture. It's like a gel, but it's runny and reminds me a bit of honey but a little thinner.
Pool cleansers like this one are supposed to be great at removing makeup, but I'm not a regular wearer of makeup - so I can't judge how well this really does work in that department. For a light application of bb cream however, it works perfectly!
What I love most about this cleanser is it's ability to gently pull away dead flaky skin and loose clogs from within my pores. This is where it's gummy texture really comes into play.
While I do think this cleanser works well once you figure out exactly how much you need - for me, it's about a half tablespoon - it really pulls impurities and dirt from your skin. However, I receive the same type of results from my regular oil cleanser, so for me this isn't really necessary since oil cleansing requires less specific measuring and technique to get good results.

#Tosowoong Enzyme Powder Wash #Review
Cleansers are a necessary step in any skincare routine. It's easy to find something to cleanse your skin, but it can be a little tricky to find a cleanser that is truly perfect. I've tried many cleansers over the years but they all left me wanting to try something new - until now.
The Tosowoong Enzyme Powder Wash is a powder cleanser, in case you didn't guess from the name. It's a gentle exfoliating cleanser that is designed to deep clean your skin to remove dirt and impurities to give you a clearer complexion. It has a pH of ~5.5, which is perfect to protect and keep your skins' moisture barrier in tact.
The ingredients include papain which gently works to break down the surface layer of dead skin and help it wash away more effectively.
Do not use this product if you are sensitive to sodium laureth sulfate, papain, alcohol denatured, or any of it's other ingredients.
The packaging of this powder cleanser is very unique. Upon flipping up the top of the bottle you'll see a small opening - but the cleanser doesn't just pour out of that opening.
If you remove the cap, you will see a hole in the actual bottle itself, and the way the cap is designed, only allows a single "serving size" amount to come out into the well underneath the cap at each tip of the bottle.
The granules are small and easy to lather when you add water. I add just a few drops at a time until it lathers up well without running out of my hands or being too dry and sticky that the powder would be rough against my skin.
Below is a photo of the powder lathered in my hands. This is good enough for me to use the cleanser on a daily basis - I dissolve the granules and then apply the foam to my face, and massage it around for a couple minutes.
But my foam lovers need not worry, for this cleanser really delivers beautiful fluffy clouds if you pair it with a foaming net! This cleanser fluff is so amazingly soft, it feels like face wash heaven on your skin - but I'm generally in too much of a hurry to incorporate a net and most commonly use just my hands.
The things I love most about this cleanser though, are the results. After washing I notice immediately how much smoother and brighter my skin it. The first time I used it - my immediate reaction was "woah" because my face was visibly brighter and it was honestly unexpected to see that big of a difference. This brightening isn't long-lived, but does help over time with it's exfoliation. Even with alcohol denat being in the ingredients, this cleanser is gentle enough to not irritate my skin at all, and has actually cleared up a lot since including this cleanser in my routine. I think that, being a dry product, the alcohol looses it's harsh nature and doesn't "reactivate" the same as it would act when in contact with the skin as a constantly wet product would - or my skin would have degraded long before I finished my second bottle...
TL;DR: This cleanser has a low pH and is very gentle on my oily, dehydrated, acne prone skin. It makes my skin smooth, bright, and helps clear my acne. I've repurchased already and plan to again in the future!

The Tosowoong Enzyme Powder Wash is a powder cleanser, in case you didn't guess from the name. It's a gentle exfoliating cleanser that is designed to deep clean your skin to remove dirt and impurities to give you a clearer complexion. It has a pH of ~5.5, which is perfect to protect and keep your skins' moisture barrier in tact.
The ingredients include papain which gently works to break down the surface layer of dead skin and help it wash away more effectively.
Do not use this product if you are sensitive to sodium laureth sulfate, papain, alcohol denatured, or any of it's other ingredients.
The packaging of this powder cleanser is very unique. Upon flipping up the top of the bottle you'll see a small opening - but the cleanser doesn't just pour out of that opening.
If you remove the cap, you will see a hole in the actual bottle itself, and the way the cap is designed, only allows a single "serving size" amount to come out into the well underneath the cap at each tip of the bottle.
The granules are small and easy to lather when you add water. I add just a few drops at a time until it lathers up well without running out of my hands or being too dry and sticky that the powder would be rough against my skin.
Below is a photo of the powder lathered in my hands. This is good enough for me to use the cleanser on a daily basis - I dissolve the granules and then apply the foam to my face, and massage it around for a couple minutes.
But my foam lovers need not worry, for this cleanser really delivers beautiful fluffy clouds if you pair it with a foaming net! This cleanser fluff is so amazingly soft, it feels like face wash heaven on your skin - but I'm generally in too much of a hurry to incorporate a net and most commonly use just my hands.
The things I love most about this cleanser though, are the results. After washing I notice immediately how much smoother and brighter my skin it. The first time I used it - my immediate reaction was "woah" because my face was visibly brighter and it was honestly unexpected to see that big of a difference. This brightening isn't long-lived, but does help over time with it's exfoliation. Even with alcohol denat being in the ingredients, this cleanser is gentle enough to not irritate my skin at all, and has actually cleared up a lot since including this cleanser in my routine. I think that, being a dry product, the alcohol looses it's harsh nature and doesn't "reactivate" the same as it would act when in contact with the skin as a constantly wet product would - or my skin would have degraded long before I finished my second bottle...
TL;DR: This cleanser has a low pH and is very gentle on my oily, dehydrated, acne prone skin. It makes my skin smooth, bright, and helps clear my acne. I've repurchased already and plan to again in the future!

Instead of the hassle of tiresome double cleansing, use both a cleansing oil and cleansing cream in one! Deep pore cleansing, makeup removal, clean rinsing, and no stickiness or residue.
Ingredients: [Cosdna analysis] Purified water, Mineral oil, PEG-7 Glyceryl Cocoate, soybean oil, Isononyl Isononanoate, jojoba seed oil, propolyene glycol, PEG-40 stearate, glycerin, glyceryl stearate, beeswax, Stearic Acid, Microcrystalline Wax, Sorbitan Oleate, Camellia Oil, Donkey Milk, PEG-100 Stearate, Lanolin, Dimethicone, Cetearyl alcohol, Benzyl glycol, Butoxydiglycol, Raspberry ketone, Triethanolamine, Tocopheryl Acetate, Xanthan Gum, Perfume, Disodium EDTA
Directions: Apply cleansing cream to skin, and massage into skin for 1-2 minutes. Remove by gently rinsing with water, or wiping away with tissue. Second cleansing is not required to clean up after the cleansing cream.
My skin is oily, dehydrated, acne-prone with hormonal cystic acne from PCOS and sensitive to alcohol, bee venom and propolis.
Performance: The Donkey Creamy Cleansing Melting Cream from Elizavecca comes in a heavy-duty glass jar with an aluminum screw-on lid. I have mixed feelings about this packaging - it's cute, sturdy, and works well; but because of the oily nature of this product it leaks easily while the jar is full. The jar had leaked a small amount during transit, but only some separated oil had escaped and it was easy to clean up - I'd recommend ordering during a cold time of year so it's more solid during shipping.
The texture is oily, creamy, and smooth. It spreads easily onto the skin, and melts away very quickly against the warmth of your skin. Because this cleanser is a mix between both a cream and an oil, it's an excellent makeup remover! By following the directions and massaging the cleanser onto my hand for two minutes, the melting cleanser removed all but a small amount of the blue eyeliner - and to be fair, the following morning those blue marks were still there, that eyeliner is crazy strong!
Verdict: This cleanser does a great job removing most makeup, and can be used as both a first step or only cleanser as it does rinse away very well. I prefer to use it as a first cleanser followed by a second cleanser. I love how soft it leaves my skin feeling, and how bright and clean it looks afterwards. It can be a bit greasy for the eyes, but if you keep them closed it works well there too! This is a cleanser I would repurchase.

Directions: Scoop an appropriate amount of the cleanser and gently massage all over the face for 2 to 3 minutes. Wait until the makeup fully melts. Wash off with lukewarm water. -Memebox
Perfomance: The Slowganic Cleanser comes in a cute little jar (as you can see from the photos above) that can be a bit fidgety to open and close, but if you take your time you won't have any trouble. The texture of this cleanser if even more interesting than the packaging. It's like a marshmallow and a sponge had a baby, and that baby fit perfectly into a jar and decided it wanted to clean faces for a living. Yeah...
This cleanser is very good at cleansing away dirt and oil from my face, and even removes light makeup. I find it to be lightly hydrating, and is perfectly balanced with a pH of 5.5~6. The only issue I have with this cleanser is that is contains Ethanol, which aggravates my allergies leaving my face red and slightly sore after use. I highly recommend this cleanser if you are not sensitive to alcohol or any other ingredients contained.

Acwell 5.5 Bubble-Free pH Balancing Cleanser [Review]
Those of you who have been following my blog since nearly the beginning know that once I found Memebox I became immediately hooked on Asian beauty products. The routine and the products have become so much more for me than skincare over the past year and half - through my battle with depression and anxiety I've found that I can calm myself and bring myself back to a "safe place" by sitting down and playing around with my skincare products. Asian beauty has become a "calm" for me, and at this point in my life I'd be lost without this little luxury.
Recently I've noticed that a large area of my Asian beauty skincare collection consists of cleanser - it started because I couldn't find one I liked, then it continued because I found several ones I liked that did different things. Today, we're reviewing one that I love - for more than one reason!
Acwell: 5.5 Bubble-Free pH Balancing Cleanser
150ml; Made in Korea
Purpose: With a balanced pH of 5.5, this cleanser works to remove makeup, sunscreen, and the grime from the day gently and effectively. It leaves your skin soft, smooth, and clean without drying out your skin and while staying bubble free. This cleanser is free from parabens, artificial dyes, mineral oil, and sulfates.
Directions: Use this as the first step in your skincare routine in the morning. This cleanser may be used as a second step cleanser after oil cleansing at night or as a both first and second step cleanse! Wet hands or apply the cleanser to your dry face, then pump cleanser into hands. Gently massage dirt and grim off skin and rinse away with water.

Description: The Awell 5.5 Cleanser comes in a white pump-top bottle, that arrives shrink-wrapped to prevent leakage. The cleanser itself has a light cloudy color to it, and has a light fresh scent. The cleanser is thicker than water but still runny.
Performance: I've tested the Acwell 5.5 Cleanser as both a first and second cleanser, and am happy with it's performance all around. It removes lip and eye makeup easily, with just gentle massaging needed to loosen up and remove everything well enough to be rinsed away with water.

I love how well this cleanser can clean away without drying soapy foam, or mineral oil (which I know many people have aversions too because of clogged pores).
When used as a second cleanser, this liquidy gel really gets down into pores, and loosens up clogs (aka. grits) like nobody's business.
Verdict: This is an amazingly gentle yet effective cleanser that works as both a first and/or second cleanser. The only minor complaint I have is that is does contain alcohol, and if my skin is feeling sensitive it will burn a bit when I first apply this cleanser - but because I have not experienced break-outs because of it, and I don't use this cleanser daily, it is not an issue for me because of how well it works. I just know not to use it if I have any other skin issues going on.
