Summer is coming right around the corner, and with kids out of school leaves more time for them to get dirty while having fun. I've been trying out the new Purex Plus Clorox2 with Stain Fighting Enzymes to see how they hold up against anything my 5 year old can (literally) throw at his clothes.

Purex No Sort Laundry Detergent #Review & #Giveaway {Ends 5/11}

New Purex No Sort for Colors detergent is the latest laundry innovation from the Purex brand designed to simplify your laundry routine. Purex No Sort for Colors detergent features a breakthrough Anti-Color-Transfer Technology which traps loose dyes in the wash and reduces color bleeding accidents in your mixes color loads leaving your clothes bright and clean.

Purex No Sort for Colors detergent is packed with innovation, but it can't perform miracles, so please follow these words of advice: wash strongly colored fabrics or new pieces of clothing, especially jeans, separately at least 5 times before doing a mixed color load with Purex No Sort for Colors detergent.

This was such an exciting product to try. We don't get many light colored clothes in our baskets, so being able to mix them together really saved us water and the hassle of running an extra load of laundry. In regular loads (with my yoga pants and t-shirts, as well as Bug's clothing) this detergent worked perfectly! There was no sorting involved, and no color transfer onto lighter colored pieces of clothing. I put this detergent to the true test when Bug dumped a glass of juice onto the dog bed. I zipped off the slipcover and threw it in the wash with the towels and rags I used to scrub the carpet and wall.

Unfortunately, the slipcover for the dog bed must have been too dark to mix with whites, because it left a bluish tint on the towels from the same load. Not dark, but enough to notice, especially if you like *white* whites.

Overall, this was a nice detergent to use for regular everyday laundry. But please don't use it on deeply pigments fabrics like jeans or jean-material.

I recently received a bottle of Purex Crystals to try out complimentary from Purex. Dial Vitamin Boot Body Wash #Review and #Giveaway

 I'm always on the hunt for a new body wash that is moisturizing enough to really give me soft skin. I was so excited when Dial sent me a bottle of their NEW Vitamin Boot Body Wash to try through the Purex Insiders program. Dial Vitamin Boot is lotion infused, contains a unique vitamin b complex, and leaves your skin healthy and soft. I couldn't wait to give it a try!

We have very hard water here in our region of MN. That, teamed up with this nightmare of a beastly cold winter, has wreaked havoc on my skin. I feel so itchy all the time from being so dry, and the 20-something different new body washes I've tried over the past few months (don't worry, most of them were sample sized...) have made little to no difference in the feeling I get when my skin is so dry it has almost no stretch.
