Nature Republic Bee Venom Bio Cellulose Mask Sheet | First Impressions Review

The Nature Republic Bee Venom Bio Cellulose Mask Sheet claims to be an anti-acne mask. It contains been venom to soothe irritated skin, as well as willow bark and tea tree extract to help treat active acne and control excess oil.

The essence is watery and has an antiseptic herbal scent - I get a lot of tea tree but it's not pungent, there's a softness to it.

The bio cellulose sheet is layered between a piece of thicker paper, and a piece of plastic pearl paper to prevent bunching and also to allow for easier application.

The mask didn't quite fit my face as well as I like - there was a gap at the top of my forehead, and around my nose. The mask was easy to apply, however, and it stayed in place while I wore it without issue.
I felt a mild cooling sensation while wearing the mask, but I'm not positive that was due to an actual ingredient. Just thought it was something worth mentioning.

I left the mask on my face for 20 minutes as directed, and at that time parts of the mask had begun to feel a bit on the dry side. I was surprised to see that the redness in my face had subsided, and my acne seemed calm and much less inflammed. The only pitfall I experienced as far as results would be that this mask was not hydrating once I removed it - it felt nice while the bio cellulose was on my skin, but my face quickly dried out after removal.

The following morning my face had returned some of its' minor redness in the usual zones (cheeks and chin) but not as bad as it could be. I was impressed to see I had no new tiny whiteheads when I woke up, which seems to be a daily occurrence, and the two active pimples I had on my chin had gone down in size, and one was barely noticeable at all.

Overall, this was an excellent mask for it's anti-acne effects, and I'm honestly a bit sad that I can't seem to find it online anymore.
