This product was purchased by me.
Description:
This gentle cleansing toner has a pH of ~5.5 which makes it perfect for balancing the skins' natural pH and keeping it healthy. Licorice water nourishes the skin, boosts hydration, and brightens skin along with the help of peony and licorice root extracts.
Ingredients: (Cosdna analysis)
Licorice 10%, PEG-6 Caprylic/Capric Glycerides, PEG-7 Glyceryl Cocoate, Dipropyl Glycol, 1,2-hexanediol, Poloxamer 184, Phenoxyethanol, Rhubarb Root Extract, Guava Leaf Extract, Purified Water, Rose Flower Extract, Green Tea Extract, Perilla Extract, Ponciri Fructus Extract, Bergamia Fruit Oil, Sodium Citrate, Disodium EDTA, Citric Acid, Tocopheryl Acetate, Licorice Extract, Paeonia Albiflora Root Extract, Cimicifuga Dahurica Root Extract, Pueraria Lobata Root Extract
Directions:
This is a very versatile toner as is can be used any of three different ways:
1) Use as a toner and apply with a cotton pad after cleansing.
2) Use as a cleansing water and apply with a cotton pad to remove light makeup or grime from the day.
3) Decant toner into a pump bottle and use as a facial mist to refresh and hydrate your skin. You can also mist the toner onto a cotton pad this way.
I decanted mine into an old (but clean) Cosrx toner bottle for a nice fine mist. |
My skin is oily, dehydrated, acne-prone with hormonal cystic acne from PCOS and sensitive to alcohol, bee venom and propolis.
Performance:
The Licorice pH Balancing Cleansing Toner from Acwell is very refreshing light citrus scent with a hint of licorice. It has a very light color to it, which comes naturally from the extracts in the product.
The toner has a typical watery texture, it is not sticky, and absorbs within a few seconds when applying with a cotton pad - it takes maybe a minute if you mist your skin, but that's what I prefer so I know the hydration is really soaking in.
As a cleansing water this is nice during the day, but I always follow with a cleanser because I never feel like any cleansing water can completely clean my skin.
Verdict:
This is a very refreshing and hydrating toner, and the advantage of being pH balanced and working so well as a facial mist makes it a favorite of mine. I highly recommend it for all skin types.
