The 3B Box: February 2015 Unboxing & Review

This is third month of 3B (Beauty Beyond Borders), and I have to say, I am still as thrilled now as I was when they first released their first bag. 3B is a new monthly subscription service providing the must-have Asian beauty products to those who may not have their readily available for purchase for just $12 a month! 3B is based in the United States, and currently only ships within the States, but they are working on branching outwards internationally (so keep an eye out on their Facebook page for updates). I have more details about this subscription and how to sign up in my first review of 3B.

So what arrived in the February 3B bag?

1. Banila Co.: Clean It Zero Cleansing Balm

This is a sherbert balm that you apply to your dry, makeup covered face - then massage in and rinse away. As you massage the balm into your skin it turns into an oil, and when you rinse the oil away with water it turns milky and rinses away cleanly. I should have taken a photo before I started using it, but I completely forgot! I actually love this balm a lot, I feel like it removes my makeup very well (including my mascara and sunscreen) and doesn't cause any acne or irritation. 2. Mizon: Snail Repair Eye Cream

 I'm not usually a big fan of eye creams, since they tend to be too rich for my skin and cause milia in my under-eye area. This eye cream has a thick yet absorbant consistency that I feel would work well for me, but it contains alcohol so I cannot use it. 3.Etude House: Collagen Moistfull Essence

 This is part of the same line we received in the December 2014 3B bag (in which we received the freshener and emulsion). I loved those products, and the small amounts of product we received didn't seem to irritate my skin with the alcohol in the ingredients, so I considered giving this a try. However, I've learned a lot more about my skin in just the past couple months and have decided not to potentially trigger an allergic reaction and will be passing this along with the eye cream as well. 4. SkinFood: Oil Control Film Sheets

 These are some brightly colored blue sheets that absorb excess oils when pressed against your skin. The color and texture remind me of the Clean&Clear sheets I used to buy when I was in high school. Those worked well, and so do these, however I don't really need these as my skin has been excessively dry lately. I will keep these in my purse because I know even if I don't need them soon, I'll be able to use them this summer!

5. Laneige: Perfect Pore Cleansing Balm

 This is the second makeup removing cleansing product we received this month, and I'm honestly a bit surprised to see a subscription box think this far ahead - with the idea of giving subscribers the opportunity to try out two different types of oil based cleansers. I personally prefer balm cleansers because they are easier to manipulate and get up to my face without making a mess, but this particular oil does an excellent job removing face makeup, mascara, and sunscreen as well - so I have no complaints! It does have a couple iffy ingredients that could potentially cause acne, but I didn't experience any adverse effects since I washed my face with my regular cleanser immediately afterwards. This was a pretty good month! Not quite as good as last month for me, but the highlight of this months bag would have to be the Banila Co cleansing balm. If 3B included another variety of that balm in a future bag, I wouldn't be disappointed ;-)
