Bugsy's Box #Review and #Giveaway

You all probably know by now how much I enjoy getting my monthly subscription boxes, especially boxes for dogs. I was so excited to be contacted by Bugsy's Box to review their February small dog box!

Bugsy's Box is a monthly goody box containing 5-7 goodies for your dog including toys, treats, supplements, and care essentials. It is available in three dog sizes (small, medium, and large) in three different subscription lengths (monthly, every three months, or every six months). All their treats are made in the USA, they donate to rescue groups, and they offer free shipping as well.

Here is what we received in our February 2014 Bugsy's Box for small (0-20 pound) dogs:

Superior Farms Pet Provision 100% Venison Jerky:
We received a 5-pack of these chews and both the girls love them. They are crunchy, but not too hard. They were much thinner than bully sticks that we usually buy too, to give you some perspective. The thinness helped Venus chew is down even faster, but with Ocean's lack of teeth she was able to work on these a little easier than a regular bully stick.

Smart n' Tasty Seafood Treats & Duck Treats:
I was a little surprised to see two of the same thing in one box, but then I noticed that they were different flavors. The duck and sweet potato were a little hard for Ocean, but Venus loved them! The tuna treats were loved by both girls, and had no offensive fishy odor sometimes accompanied by fishy pet snacks... a huge plus for us!

Earth Heart "Canine Calm" Spray:
Regular readers of my blog may remember my past review of Earth Heart's "Travel Calm" and how much we loved it. I was so excited to see another Earth Heart product being shared in another pet box! Canine Calm works similarly to the Travel Calm in that the overall goal is a calm pet. This particular spray is for use around home, and it seemed to work wonders when I had to leave for class and during hospital visits.

Bow Wow Pet Spiked Ball:
This is the only product in this box that we didn't seem to care for. In a box specifically designed for dogs 20 pounds or less, a ball roughly 5 inches in diameter seemed, well, way too big. Neither of the girls wanted anything to do with it, Ocean (the tiny 6 pound thing she is) was kinda too afraid to go near it. However, I was able to give it to my parents for their dog, and he loved it!

You can find more information about Bugsy's Box on their website. You can also connect with them via Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram.

But wait, there's more! Bugsy's Box would like to offer one of my bark-tastic readers a box of joy for their very own pup! Just enter using the Giveaway Tools form below. Giveaway open to residents of the US only, ages 18 and older.

  3. My dogs would love the Superior Farms Pet Provision 100% Venison Jerky. I'm most excited to try the Earth Heart "Canine Calm" Spray on my Chihuahua, Ella. She is such a nervous little girl and I would like to see if this helps :)
