Old Mother Hubbard Soft Bakes #Review

Thank you to Chewy.com for providing this dog treat for the month of March to review!

Old Mother Hubbard has been around for quite some time, they've become a fairly well known brand in the pet market for their food and treats. They've been around since 1926, and has used home-style recipes along with all natural ingredients to create the very best for your pets.

This month Chewy sent the chi's a bag of their Soft Bakes; Baked with Applesauce & Oatmeal. These slow-baked goodies are moist inside, so they're a nice soft cookie treat for any dog. Old Mother Hubbard uses whole wheat flour, honey, apples, oatmeal, and cinnamon to make these cookies taste and smell simply amazing (seriously - I had to hold myself back from tasting one myself!). The nice small size and softness made them super easy for Ocean to chew, and Venus of course loved them too!

You can find more great products like these from Old Mother Hubbard at Chewy.com; you can also follow them on Facebook, Twitter, Pinterest, and Google+.

Madison Reed {hair color} #Review

Madison Reed

Let's take a step back in time, shall we? One of my first beauty cravings was to change the color of my hair. As a teen, I felt my hair color was extremely dull with little shine or life to it. I started off small when my parents put their foot down to me dying my hair when I was 16, and started spraying it with lemon juice and heating it up with a blow-dryer to lighten it. My parents suddenly realized they had lost the battle. When I was 17, I would stay at friends houses and use demi-permanent hair colors that washed out after a couple weeks. At 18 I had moved on to permanents. It's been over 10 years since I've had move than a half inch of my natural hair color showing, but my tastes for a more "grown-up" coloring experience has heightened. Gone are my days of bleaching to achieve colors of the rainbow, or my signature "gothic" black look. I am a sure-fire sucker for reds with hints of purple, and Madison Reed knew exactly what to offer me.
Madison Reed - Salon Quality At Home Hair Color
Madison Reed offers ammonia free at-home hair coloring kits with nourishing argon oil, that deliver beautiful salon-quality results. I took advantage of their online Color-Adviser to help me choose a color that would work best with how my hair currently looked. I chose the color Trieste Red #5NRM. I found the process to be very easy to follow. I followed the illustrated directions easy to understand, and the formula itself was thick but easy to apply. Surprisingly, there was almost no smell at all to the hair color itself. This was a huge deal for me! I've never used a hair dye that didn't stink, especially one that didn't smell horrible, this won me over immediately! The formula washed out easily, and the color enhancing shampoo and conditioner set working amazingly! Below are some photos of the kit I received, and some before and after photos of my hair.

My Warby Parker Glasses #WarbyHomeTryOn #Review

Picking out a new pair of prescription eyeglasses doesn't have to be a stressful and confusing expereince. Warby Parker makes it easy and gives you the chance to try out some frames at home with their At Home Try On. Simplry log on to WarbyParker.com and select five of your favorite frames to have sent to your home, free of charge! Warby Parker will ship those five frames out to you right away, and you'll have five days to try them on, test them out, and see what your friends and family think of how they look on you.

Here are the frames I chose for my Home Try On and how the frames I chose looked on me:

Pair 1- Rowan #3170 in Graphite Fog
Pair 2- Carlen #231 in Striped Evergreen
Pair 3- Ainsworth #761 in Elderberry
Pair 4- Nedwin #102 in Revolver Black Crystal
Pair 5- Thompson #100 in Revolver Black
I personally liked four out of the five pairs I received, the exeption being pair #3. I loved the color of these glasses, but I think the round frames make my face look even chubbier.

Overall, this was a great experience. Choosing a pair of frames could not have been easier, and it was so much less intimidating and stressful than frantically trying frames on in an optomitrists office with children screaming and other people waiting. I strongly encourage anyone in the market for new specs to try out this amazing service from Warby Parker!

ResVitale Collagen HydraPlump with Ceramides #Review

Spring may be here according to your calendar, but that dry and cold winter air is still lingering. This past winter has been especially difficult with the long bouts of extreme cold, it has been torture for my skin. My skin looked dry and flaky, and would turn white and actually flake off if I was so dry I itched. My arms and hands were the worst! I was surprised (and admittedly relieved) when ResVitale offered to send me a two week supply of their Collagen Hydraplump capsules with Ceramides to try out.

ResVitale is well-known for their supplements which include Grape Seed Extract, Resveratrol, French Melon, Green Coffee Bean, and more! Collagen Hydraplump is a unique supplement which works to restore your skins natural moisture barrier. You may have heard of Ceramides before, in skin creams which claim to moisturize and reduce the signs of aging in as little as two weeks. ResVitale's Collagen Hydraplump makes the same claim, but the Ceramides are in a supplement, not a skin cream, so they're able to improve the appearance and moisture of all your skin, not just your face.

ResVitale sent me a bottle of 30 capsules to to see how Collagen Hydraplump with Ceramides works for me and my skin. You take a capsule twice a day, so I received a two week supply. Most noticable results are achieved after 60 days, but your skins moisture barrier restoration as well as anti-aging improvements should be noticeable by two weeks.

I followed the instructions and by the end of my first week I noticed my hands were no longer cracked and dry. I didn't think much of it, but at the end of my two week trial, I noticed I wasn't reaching for my lotion several times a day anymore. I cannot comment much on the anti-aging effect this product has, but I was honestly impressed with the improvement of my skins' dryness. My skin didn't pull taught when I moved too much, I was able to just apply lotion once a day (and honestly probably didn't need that application either), my face needed less moisturizing (I actually had to buy a different moisturizer), and my skin was no longer flaky and itchy.

Overall I think this product is worth the money, and does exactly what it claims to do for you and your skin. You can purchase this product (and others by ResVitale) at GNC for $39.99. You can find more information by visiting ResVitale.com, or by following them on Facebook and Twitter.

Let HomeJoy Take Care of Your Spring Cleaning For You!

A large part of my past includes home cleaning. I've always been driven to be an organized individual, and that drive took on a whole new turn when I found one of my first jobs at a local cleaning agency. When I realized that the agency didn't offer it's customers the kind of service I would be happy receiving myself, I soon left to find my own clientele and soon found myself with ecstatic customers who couldn't believe how much more I was willing to offer for a smaller price.

My experience makes it so much more exciting to see another company paving the way for superior home cleaning at an affordable price, and that company is HomeJoy.

As a mom, keeping a clean home is always my goal, but not necessarily a reality. Fortunately, HomeJoy makes it easy to make a clean home more than just a fantasy. And now that Spring cleaning time has arrived, it's even more crucial to get the new year off to a nice clean start!

It's super easy to book an appointment and get started with HomeJoy. Direct your browser to HomeJoy.com and you will be able to find a link to book your appointment right away near the top of the page. HomeJoy asks for your number of bedrooms and bathrooms, or your can alternately input your home's square footage instead. You can add on additional services such as laundry, inside your refrigerator, inside your oven, windows, and more. They give a brief estimate based on the size of your home and additional services selected, of how many hours your cleaning will take. My favorite thing about HomeJoy is that no matter the size of your home, your cleaning will only cost you $20 an hour (with basic services, and a 2.5 hour cleaning minimum). You can provide cleaning supplies for your cleaners, or they can bring their own for a $5 fee. Don't worry, if you want to provide your own supplies but want your HomeJoy team to have all they need, there is a small list provided of products they use if you choose to supply your own on the booking page.

If you're still on the fence about a professional home cleaning from HomeJoy, please also know that their cleaners are bonded and insured, their cleaners are background checked and certified, they offer a 100% satisfaction guarantee, and they also offer focus cleanings if you really don't need anyone working on your whole home. Remember: your cleaning will only cost you $20 an hour!

You can find further info on HomeJoy's Facebook and Twitter pages.
