I Threw Out My Back

It's been a long time since I've had trouble with my back, over a month for sure. I managed to hurt it more than I ever remember by simply taking off my shoes after our morning walk today. That's all, just bending down to take off my shoes, and now I haven't hardly been able to walk all day. Venus and Ocean have been pretty sympathetic, and cuddling next to me while I cry out in pain, but Gabe has been a holy terror (to put it nicely). Yes, he too has noticed that mom is out of commission, and has really taken advantage of the situation. He's tried to be nice and helpful a couple times, but it's days like today that make me wish that my family was a little more helpful, or that Jer was home more often.
