I like the feel of these bags. They feel thick and durable, and have plenty of room to *safely* pick up dog waste from the lawn. These would work well to clean out a cat litter box as well, but just remember to not compost cat waste. Although these bags will break down, and then allow waste to break down once exposed to the air as well, I still decided to not tie these bags, and to flush to dog poop I had picked up, and then compost the bags. It felt so much better to use biodegradable bags vs throwing plastic bags in the trash! I will never be able to use regular plastic waste bags again.
Not only does BioBag produce pet waste bags, but they also make food waste bags, lawn & leaf bags, packaging film, sandwich bags, and shopping bags too!

I think I've actually seen these at parks where they have the posts that you can pull poop bags out of, which is impressive that a park would invest in biodegradable poop bags in the first place!
ReplyDeleteI love the idea of a greener plastic bag. We are pretty green with our poop bags, though. We reuse plastic grocery bags as poop bags as well as as garbage bags.
ReplyDeleteI'm surprised people still use regular, non-compostable plastic bags for things like picking up their dogs' poops, especially since there are so many companies and products and options out there today!
ReplyDeleteI have five Treeing Walker Coonhounds of my own (ranging from 52 to over 70 pounds) that I walk regularly, plus have the dogs from my rescue, and the dogs that are on rescue transports I drive, and we always pick up any poop the dogs leave behind. Non-biodegradable bags are an issue - especially with as many as you can imagine we go through. I try to go green on everything I can and these bags sound perfect!
ReplyDeleteGenius! I use plastic grocery bags to throw out our catbox waste but this is a MUCH better idea!
ReplyDeleteI had not seen these bags before. I love that that are compostable.
ReplyDeleteI really need to get these I was using the bags that I got from the stores but my county has banned plastic bags they would be great
ReplyDeleteIt's about time someone thought of that!!!! I have been thinking plastic grocery bags are bad so aren't doggy poo bags... I love finding out about all these products; thanks
ReplyDeleteThese are really good. It would be a far cry from the grocery bags that I am now using. Susan Broughton elaineb1@ymail.com

ReplyDeleteI like that they are compostable. And it would make me feel better about throwing away the poo bags knowing they will biodegrade. Great product!
ReplyDeleteMy husband and I use poop sacs each day while walking our beagle, Mouse. This would be a great way to be green!
ReplyDeleteI commend you on be eco-friendly! I, myself don't think I could flush the poop and then compost - but big pat on the back to you! I like that they are made from corn! How cool!
ReplyDeleteLove the bags just wish I could afford them.
ReplyDeleteBiodegradable waste bags are a great idea. We don't use doggie waste bags, but my fiance' said that she is thinking about cleaning up the droppings in the back yard and these would be great for that purpose. Thanks for the info.
ReplyDeleteI love that they're finally making biodegradable poop bags. Now if they'd make all other non-recyclable things that way, I'd be thrilled.
ReplyDeleteWe all should love to recycle poop bags. lol they are a necessity.
ReplyDeletethis is great, I love the idea of these bags
