Innisfree Green Tea Mint Fresh Shampoo and Conditioner | #altheakorea #altheaangels

This review took a heck of a lot longer to get together than it should have, and I apologize. Life has been... basically one small step above horrible, and I've been functioning quite minimally just to make it through each day. In the spirit of getting myself enough together to shower, however, I pushed even further to finish these thoughts up to share!

I purchased both the Innisfree Green Tea Mint Fresh Shampoo and Conditioner from Althea Korea in mid-August, and received it on the last day of the month (about two weeks total for processing and shipping together). I did use promotional points towards my purchase, but I was in no way obligated to purchase any particular item, nor was I required to write a review.

The Innisfree Green Tea Mint Fresh Shampoo is a silicone free cleansing formula that focuses on controlling oiliness of the scalp, while removing dirt and balancing moisture.
It comes in a 300mL plastic bottle with a press-open top for easy dispensing in the shower.

The shampoo contains green tea extract that claims to help keep hair healthy and hydrated - but it also contains mint extract refreshes the scalp and helps control oil. The mint scent is strong, and leaves a cooling sensation on my scalp that I really love.

We have very hard, iron rich, well water - but I still get a nice gentle lather from this shampoo.

Used alone, not followed by conditioner, the Innisfree Green Tea Mint Fresh Shampoo leaves my scalp feeling clean and refreshed, and leaves a lingering minty scent and cooling sensation. However it's not hydrating enough to not tangle my hair, so it needs to be followed by either a leave-in conditioning treatment or a traditional wash-out conditioner (such as the partner to this set).

The Innisfree Green Tea Mint Fresh Conditioner is a lightweight conditioning treatment that claims to lightly coat the hair without weighing it down or contribute to excess oil, while also controlling sebum production on the scalp.

It comes in a soft tube packaging with a flip-top cap that is broad enough to allow the tube to stand up and the conditioner to always be ready for dispensing.

Like the shampoo, this conditioner also contains green tea extract to hydrate and protect hair, and also mint extract to refresh and remove odor from the scalp while controlling oil production.

The conditioner doesn't feel too thick, but it does have a creamy texture and coats my hair nicely.

The Innisfree Green Tea Mint Fresh Conditioner is not a super-hydrating formula, nor is it my first choice if you have easily-knotted hair like I do. But it is lightweight, leaves my hair smelling fresh and my scalp feeling clean, and doesn't contribute to scalp acne or bother my psoriasis. I feel it works very well paired with the Innisfree Green Tea Mint Fresh Shampoo, especially if you have a good 10 minutes or so to let it absorb (vs the recommended 1-2 minutes).
