Younique Moonstruck 3D Fiber Lashes

Younique Moonstruck 3D Fiber Lashes gives you a chance to boost your own lashes and give them the look of wearing false lashes without the hassle of trying to apply falsies, or the uncomfortable experience sometimes associated with wearing them all day.

Younique uses a special Uplift Eye Serum in their Moonstruck 3D Fiber Lash Serum that nourishes the eyelashes with a blend of CoQ10, squalene, and vitamins c & e.

I received the Moonstruck 3D Fiber Lashes for free in exchange for trying this product and sharing my honest experience with you all.

How to Apply...

  • First, apply an even coat of the Transplanting Gel to the lashes
  • Immediately apply a layer of Fibers over the Transplanting Gel
  • Seal the deal by applying the Transplanting Gel over the Fibers and get ready to bat your lovely, long lashes!

Unfortunately this product gave me some sort of reaction, causing my eye area to swell and itch. I did reach out to my contact from the company regarding this issue a week ago but have not heard back. I will update if they do respond with any information as to why this may have happened.

Reviv Serums TelomErase Serum

Being a mom who is concerned about skincare, I find multitasking products to really come in handy when I don't have much time to devote to my skincare routine. Some nights I have all the time I need to complete all the steps i want to include, others - I'm lucky if I can get my face washed! Reviv Serums has created a Telomerase Serum that takes care of six skincare concerns with the use of just one product!
Full size product photo supplied by sponsor.

The TelomErase Serum is a 6-in-1 multi-corrective serum that erases, tightens, brightens, blurs, moisturizes and regenerates the appearance of dark circles, fine lines, sun spots, redness, pore size, and firmness.

I was sent this product for free, for the purpose of providing an honest review, and sharing my experience with you.

I received two sample-sized vials of the TelemErase Serum from Reviv Serums, and have tried it out daily for the past two weeks. A little goes a long way, and it absorbs into the skin quickly. I've noticed this product does a good job at keeping my under-eye area brighter and makes my fine lines unnoticeable. I have noticed my hyperpigmentation is lessened, but I cannot say that it was caused by this product alone, though I'm sure it has helped.

From now through December 31st (2015) Reviv Serums is offering 10% off at RevivSerums.com with the code TIGHT10. Enjoy!

Derma E Anti-Wrinkle Vitamin A Retinyl Palmitate Crème

The Derma e Anti-Wrinkle Vitamin A Retinyl Palimitate Creme is a cell renewal and skin resurfacing cream that helps diminish the appearance of lines and wrinkles - leaving skin soft, smooth, and supple.
Link below to save $2 at Walgreens.

Derma e is one of the first truly natural skincare brands, and has always been vegan and cruelty-free. Not only are they natural, but they deliver results! Derma e only uses the best antioxidants and vitamins in their formulas, to ensure that you are getting the best quality for your money. They believe in healthy skin and healthy living - you can live healthy on your own, and now you can have healthy skin with the help of Derma e.

I received the Anti-Wrinkle Vitamin A Retinyl Palimitate Creme free for the purpose of reviewing. I was not paid for this post, I only received a product to try, and to share my experience with you all.

I used the cream off and on for a couple weeks. This particular cream is great overnight, especially in the colder weather that is drier and more damaging to our skin. This time of year is harsh, and this cream is a good counterpart to any winter skincare arsenal. This cream is good at creating a barrier to keep out the cold dry air and keep your skin hydrated and healthy.

I did find with my particular skin type that this cream would clog my pores if I used it too many nights in a row, so I would recommend checking out this products' Cosdna Analysis and making sure none of the ingredients are a potentail trigger for you.

If this is a product you'd like to try for anti-aging benefits or for keeping your skin healthy during the fall and winter months - you can print out a $2 coupon to be used at Walgreens.

TonyMoly Earth Beauty Kelp Mask Sheet [Review]

By now, this mask is old news... but I still wanted to share my experience with it since I've seen so many mixed feeling about this one. And, you know, masks...
I purchased this mask on my own from Memebox, and this post will contain an affiliate link.

TonyMoly: Earth Beauty Kelp Mask Sheet
25g; Made in Korea

Purpose: [From Memebox] Experience plumper and younger-looking skin with this Kelp mask from Tony Moly. It contains 90.37% eco substances rich in marine nutrients which promote better skin elasticity. This helps the skin produce healthier skin cells and prevent formation of fine lines and wrinkles. Sea Kelp is also known for its numerous health benefits which keeps your skin’s condition healthy. It offers full moisture that lasts for 72 hours!

To Use: After cleansing and toning, carefully place the mask sheet onto your face and leave it for 15 to 20 minutes. After the allotted time, dispose the mask sheet properly and massage the remaining essence onto the face for better absorption.

Ingredients: Laminaria Japonica, Aloe Barbadensis Leaf Extract, Laminaria Japonica Extract, Lactobacillus/Aloe Barbadensis Ferment Filtrate, Serenoa Serrulata Fruit Extract, Angelica Polymorpha Sinensis Root Extract, alpha-bisabolol, Trigonella Foenum-Graecum Seed Extract, Natto Gum, Leonurus Sibiricus Flower/Leaf/Stem Extract, Dioscorea Opposita (Wild Yam) Root Extract, Camellia Japonica Seed Oil, Centella Asiatica Extract, Argania Spinosa Kernel Oil, Anemarrhena Asphodeloides Root Extract, Bambusa Vulgaris Leaf/Stem Extract, Chlorella Ferment, Avena Sativa (Oat) Kernel Extract, Corylus Avellana (Hazel) Seed Oil, Angelica Keiskei Leaf/Stem Extract, Citrus Junos Fruit Extract, Royal Jelly, Paeonia Suffruticosa Root Extract, Xanthan Gum, Scutellaria Baicalensis Root Extract, Plantago Asiatica Extract, Glycyrrhiza Glabra (Licorice) Root Extract, Adenosine, Lavandula Angustifolia (Lavender) Oil, Aniba Rosaeodora (Rosewood) Wood Oil, Citrus Aurantium Bergamia (Bergamot) Fruit Oil, Cymbopogon Schoenanthus Oil

Description: The mask has a yellow-green essence that is thin but slightly sticky. It smells slightly fishy, at first smell I immediately thought of scallops. I've heard many people complain of this smell, but myself (being very sensitive to scents) didn't think this was too overpowering and did start to lessen after a few minutes. It didn't disappear, but it was bearable.

Performance: When I used this mask I was having a bit of trouble with my skin (sores from over-exfoliation and purging), so when I first applied it the essence burned along my jawline. This lasted about 10 minutes, and I almost peeled it off, but it did go away and it did not cause any other irritation other than on the already irritated areas of my face.
This mask is made of real kelp, and is a bit stiff due to that - but it really is more pliable than I expected. It did fit my face fairly well, and it didn't slide around at all.

Despite not feeling soothing in any way (which was a first for me) it did make my face appear much brighter and less irritated than before. Even so, this is not a mask i would repurchase because I can get brightening plus added soothing effects from many other masks.

This mask is available in a TonyMoly Earth Beauty Mask Bundle at Memebox USA.

Elizavecca Milky Piggy Kangsipack [Review] #elizavecca #milkypiggy

The following item in this post was purchased by me, for the purpose of evaluation. This post contains an affiliate link.

Elizavecca: Milky Piggy Kangsipack
120ml; Made in Korea

Purpose: [From Memebox] Say goodbye to dull and uneven skin tone! Elizavecca Kangsi Pack is a unique mask pack infused with 24K gold powder extract, berry extracts, green herb extracts and hydrolyzed collagen which promote smooth and radiant skin. It balances the skin’s natural hydration levels to keep the skin at its healthiest state. This pack leaves visible results right after one usage!

To Use: Squeeze out an appropriate amount of the mask pack enough to cover the entire face. Apply an even amount and let it dry for 15 to 20 minutes. Once the gold mask turns white, wash it off with lukewarm water.

Ingredients: Water, Silica, Alcohol, Maltose, Glycerin, Polyvinyl Alcohol, Cyclopentasiloxane, Polysorbate 60, Lavandula Angustifolia (Lavender) Extract, Rosmarinus Officinails (Rosemary) Extract, Origanum Vulgare Leafe/Flower/Stem Extract, Thymus Vulgaris (Thyme) Extract, Phyllanthus Emblica Fruit Extract, Aristotelia Chilensis Fruit Extract, Euterpe Oleracea Fruit Extract, Rubus Idaeus (Raspberry) Fruit Extract, Vaccinium Angustifolium (Blueberry) Fruit Extract, Vaccinium Myrtillus Fruit Extract, Vaccinium Macrocarpon (Cranberry) Fruit Extract, Propolis Extract, Glycyrrhiza Glabra (Licorice) Root Extract, Portulaca Oleracea Extract, Hydrolyzed Collagen, Adenosine, Ceramide 3, Gold, Synthetic Fluorphlogopite, Tin Oxide, Titanium Dioxide, Iron Oxides, Carbomer, Tromethamine, Fragrance.

Cosdna Analysis: The Cosdna Analysis for this product is very clean for a somwhat extensive ingredient list. There are no potential acne triggers flagged, but Carbomer is flagged with a 1/5 as a potential irritant for sensitive skin. I want to point out that, although not flagged, Alcohol can be irritating to the skin.

Performance: The mask comes out of the tube as a glistening gold color. It's really quite beautiful, and really is shimmery at first.
Mask on the back of my hand.
I squeezed some product onto the back of my hand and spread it onto my face with a flat foundation brush. I was able to get a thin and even layer with this method. The mask smelled strongly of alcohol while wet, I gagged a few times while applying it.

I allowed the mask to dry for 20 minutes, and at that time it wasn't fully dry but my face was beginning to feel tight and cold so I washed it off. It looked like hardened clay once dry, but felt softer to the touch, and when water was added it became jelly-like again like when applied. It washed off pretty easily, the edges took a bit of extra massaging to get off completely.

Once rinsed off my face felt smooth and plump - it seemed to do a nice job hydrating my skin. Comparing the before and after photos before, I see that this mask did brighten my face a little as well and took some redness out of my acne scarring.
You can find this product at Memebox USA for $16 (affiliate).

Lovemore White Yeast Whitening Mask Sheet [Review]

A while ago I tried my first Lovemore silk mask, that I had received as a gift from a friend. I posted it on Instagram a few weeks ago (eep!) but I decided it's finally time to post a review here!

Lovemore: White Yeast Whitening Mask Sheet
28ml; Made in Taiwan

Purpose: This mask uses deep ocean water as a base to help provide essential nutrients and hydration to the skin. Wine yeast added in helps to brighten the skin.

To Use: After cleansing and toning, relax with mask over face. Remove the mask after 15-20 minutes. Lightly massage skin with left over serum.

Ingredients: Butylene Glycol, Glycerine, Chondrus Crispus (Carrageenan) Extract, Sea Water, Xanthan Gum, Oryza Sativa (Rice) Lees Extract, Iodopropynyl Butylcarbamate, Methylisothiazolinone, Ascophyllum Nodosiu Extract, Citric Acid, Dipotassium Glycyrrhizate, Hyaluronic Acid, Oligome, Fragrance, Water

Cosdna Analysis: The Cosdna analysis, while not perfect, only flags one potential trigger. Butylene Glycol rates as a 1/5 on the acne trigger scale, very low and not a concern for me at all.

Performance: Being made of silk, this mask is very thin and sheer - if it weren't for the few folds and wrinkles in the mask, it would blend into my face pretty well! This was was unbelievably comfortable to wear, it clung to my face well and didn't move around at all. The only downside was that it dried out too quickly, in less than 20 minutes, which is more than likely due to the incredibly thin material.

I found this mask to not only be brightening as suggested on the front of the packaging, but it was also very hydrating. This mask gave my skin a 25% increase in moisture from before to after I used the mask.

Rating: 4/5 - one point lost because of quick dry time.

Available at:
- Melody Cosme for $3 each

Sponsor Spotlight: Melody Cosme

I was so lucky to have a couple sponsors for my upcoming giveaway; All I Want For Xmas Is AB - which is also a blog hop! Today I'm going to share a little info about my last amazing sponsor; Melody Cosme!
What's a blog hop?
Well, in a few weeks I'll be posting a giveaway here on my blog, and other bloggers will also be hosting a giveaway at the same time. All of us who are hosting an Asian beauty related giveaway will have our giveaway link on a linky at the bottom of each blog post.

What is Melody?
Melody is a newer US-based online Asian beauty shop. They have just a few brands available, but the products they choose to sell are ones they have tried themselves (check out melodycosme on Instagram for info on products as they come into the shop) and all come from trusted brands that are safe to use. It's one thing for a shop owner to be able to tell someone how a product should work, but to me, it brings service to a whole new level when a shop owner can also tell a customer how a product actually works.
Melody offers free shipping within the US on orders $50 or more, and of course gives a generous bundle samples as well!

Giveaway Sponsor.
Melody has generously offered a couple mask bundles that will be included as prizes for my upcoming "All I Want For Xmas Is AB" Giveaway!
One sampler set will be going into my "grand prize" package, and the other will go to a second winner!

P.S. This giveaway will be open worldwide and starts in just two days! So everyone can start getting excited now =)

#Elizavecca #MilkyPiggy Hell-Pore Clean Up Mask [Review]

Elizavecca is one of those brands that is always bringing the cute packaging - and it wasn't until they started sending me products to review that I realized how effective they were as well. When I saw Memebox added a couple new Elizavecca masks to their shop, I purchased them right away! There is a peel off mask and a wash off mask, and today I'm sharing my experience with the peel off mask.

Elizavecca: Milky Piggy Hell-Pore Clean Up Mask
100g; Made in Korea

Purpose: To remove skin impurities that are clogging the pores. This mask is supposed to remove blackheads, whiteheads, & dead skin cells from the skin. This mask contains charcoal extract to deep clean, and caragana sinica to help control excess sebum while leaving skin healthy and glowing.

To Use: Apply the mask to your face, and allow it to set (dry). Peel the mask away from your skin. You may check the dried/peeled mask for sebum and dead skin.

Ingredients: [Cosdna]

Notable Ingredients: This mask contains charcoal extract to deep clean and control excess sebum, and caragana sinica (and antioxidant) to leave skin healthy and glowing.

Performance: The product dispensed easily out of the tube. I applied it to the back of my hand, and brushed it onto my face with my other hand - this gave me an easy and even application. I applied a thicker layer, thinking this would make it easier to peel off later on. The smell of the mask was strong at first - like Vodka and clay - I almost couldn't handle it, but thankfully the smell started to disappear shortly after I applied it, and by the time the top of the mask started to set the smell was gone. The hardest part of this mask was waiting for it to fully set so it could be pulled off. After an hour I removed the mask, and it did come off completely in one piece with the exception of a few gummy pieces that still hadn't dried (one on each cheek & one on my chin).
These few stragglers just didn't want to dry! I ended up washing them off with a damp cloth.
After removal my face felt so smooth! It also looked much brighter and cleaner.

This mask was a big success for me! My skin is somewhat oily, but also dehydrated, and I get clogged pores easily. Despite being sensitive to alcohol, this mask did not irritate my skin. This is a great mask for cleaning up the pores and removing dead skin, as well as brightening the complexion.

I purchased this mask from Memebox USA (affiliate link) for $16.

My Skin After 8 Weeks On #Curology [Skin Update 4] #Pocketderm

This week marks my eighth week of using Curology on my face as a daily step in my evening skincare routine. I initially signed up with Curology to help cure my acne, but starting this week I am receiving a new prescription, which will probably open up some further changes with my skin. I'll go into details about that further in this post.

What is Curology?
Due to it's success and growth, Pocketderm has renamed itself as of 9/30/2015 to Curology to represent it's caring, curing, and healing it provides for its' patients. Curology is a tele-dermatology site that allows you to receive a prescription topical cream with three active ingredients to help you with your skin. You simply submit photos of your skin when you sign up, along with any additional information you think your dermatologist should know (and yes, the people helping you really are doctors!) and they review your photos and info to diagnosis your skin issues. Curology will curate a personalized cream for you with three out of the six active ingredients they have to offer for just $19.95 per month. You will automatically receive a new shipment of your prescription every 3 months, but if you need one sooner, you can request one from your provider. Your monthly fee for Curology not only covers your prescription, but also unlimited consultations with your provider.
If you sign up using my referral link, you will receive your first month completely free!

When I first started using Curology on 9/15 I started noticing a difference after just three days of use - you can see my first initial results in my first Curology post. Right now, my acne is mostly clear. Instead of having new cystic acne forming on a daily basis, I only get a few cysts around my "time of the month" and they are not nearly as bad as they used to be.

My skin is brighter, my PIH (post-inflammatory hyper-pigmentation) is nearly gone, and with the exception of some stubborn purging from my prescription along my jawline, I don't have any real acne to speak of.

Because my complexion has improved so much, my dermatologist at Curology has altered my prescription. I previously was applying 4% Niacinamide, 1% Clindamycin, & 4% Azeliac Acid. My new prescription will be 1% Clindamycin, 8% Azeliac Acid, & 0.009% Tretonoin.

I have been warned that with the addition of Tret, my skin may get dry and flaky, and I may experience further purging because it is a stronger prescription. I am hoping that it will help the stubborn purging along my jawline finish coming to a head and finally clear up completely, and possibly even prevent my cystic acne that pops up at my TOM. We shall see! I'll be sure to update once I start using my new prescription and let you know how the Tret is working for me!

Impress Press-On Manicure [Review]

Being a mom who works from home and also blogs, I never have time for small luxuries like manicures. Painting my nails becomes a small chore at times, so having an easy and quick option to get my nails done at home is great. I recently tried the imPress Press-On Manicure kit from Broadway Nails and today I'm going to share my experience with you.

I received two sets of the imPress nails; Casting Call (left) and Boogie Down (right).

The nails have a sticky backing covered with plastic, you remove the plastic strip to reveal the stickiness and apply it to your nails. There is no dry time with this system, which makes it especially appealing to a busy mom like myself. The Ultra-Hold Technology claims to keep nails waterproof and in-tact for up to a week.

To apply, you use the included prep pad to remove any oil or dirt from your nails, match up the correct size, then remove the backing and press on to your natural nail. The finish is similar to that of gel nails. Below is a photo of "Casting Call" on my nails.

Unfortunately I found that these nails did not last long at all. The look beautiful, and feel very sturdy at first, but within hours the nails started falling off and my natural nails have a visible amount of moisture on them. I did not submerge my nails in anything, so I'm not sure what happened, but I experienced the same unfortunate result with "Boogie Down" as well.

If you'd like to give these beautiful nails a try, you can find them at Walgreens for ~$7.99.
