The 3B Box: April 2015 Unboxing & Review

Before we get started I just want to point out that I do know it's now the beginning of June. I'm not crazy, just busy lol. I apologize for not getting this up sooner, but life has seriously sucked lately and my blogs have really been neglected because of it.

For those of you who are just joining my blog, The 3B Box is a fairly new monthly subscription service (started in December) providing the must-have Asian beauty products to those who may not have their readily available for purchase for just $12 a month! 3B is based in the United States, and currently only ships within the States, but they are working on branching outwards internationally (so keep an eye out on their Facebook page for updates). I have more details about this subscription and how to sign up in my first review of 3B.

Let's take a look at the April 3B Box...

Benton: Aloe BHA Skin Toner

This is the teeny-tiniest sample of anything in a bottle I have ever seen. It's super cute, but super frustrating when trying to sample a product enough to decide whether it's worth buying the full size of something or not. Despite my current issues with Benton this is the one product of theirs (besides the occasional use of their sheet masks) that I have a hard time not using. It is soothing to my skin - it eliminates redness and swelling from acne - and it provides a bit of light moisturization after washing away all the oils from my face. I do like this product, and think it does have great ingredients, but I do not like the tactics this company uses and feel they are untrustworthy.

Benton: Aloe Propolis Soothing Gel 

Another super teeny tiny sample, but this time I got three whole uses out of the bottle! This is the only product from the Snail Bee or Aloe lines that I haven't tried to date, so I was really excited to try it out even though I was nervous to try another Benton product. This was basically a rich, moisturizing aloe vera gel. It was pleasantly cooling and refreshing, had no scent, and was soothing after being in the sun. It has a perfect ingredients list, no acne triggers or sensitive skin irritants.

TonyMoly: Intense Care Snail Foam Cleanser

I'm normally not a big fan of foaming cleansers. The pH of these types of cleansers are far too high to be beneficial to your skins' natural moisture barrier, and can do much more harm than good. A good pH that helps protect your skins moisture barrier is anywhere between 4.5 and 6.5 - and I've found a range between  4 and 5.5 if you're acne prone to help keep your skin from being a breeding ground for more bacteria. Aside from the pH issues I have with this cleanser, the ingredients list is atrocious - I don't know if I even feel comfortable using this cleanser on my makeup brushes...

SkinFood: Silicon Cleansing Pad 

These are great tools for gentle exfoliation and for cleaning pores. The silicon is soft and gentle and can be used with just about any cleanser. 

Innisfree: Bija Sheet Mask

I know these Innisfree masks are popular, and I hear good things about them. Unfortunately for me they contain alcohol - which I am allergic to - so I cannot use them.
