First Impression: I thought the chews smelled just like sweet potatoes, and it was delicious! I did feel like they were the perfect consistency for a dental chew- not too hard, but not so soft that it won't benefit teeth. We received the chews for medium to large dogs, which were perfect for Venus, but a bit too large for Ocean.

My Thoughts: Overall I felt like these were a great dental chew! With natural ingredients and delicious enticing smell, these are certainly better than other starch-based chews we've fed the chi's in the past. I found they were easy for Venus to digest and gave a nice scent to her breath. Venus does have a tiny bit of yellowing on her teeth, so I plan to continue to feed these chews in the hopes that they improve the onset of plaque and tartar from her canines.

First Impression: We received a bag of medium/large dog chews for the chi's. I was a bit annoyed having to break the chews up since the recommendation for these chews is roughly one per 25 pounds per day. I broke them in half for Venus, and into quarters for Ocean. The treats are a little soft, which I like for the chi's, and they smell delicious - definitely a good chicken smell!

My Thoughts: While I would have loved to have received the chews for small dogs, the size of the chews did not alter the effectiveness of the Hip+Joint chews. While treats such as these usually make me skeptical, I was blown away when Venus was able to walk without a limp after just a couple days of taking these chews. After the hundreds of dollars we've spent on different supplements over the past year to help Venus walk better, we had honestly given up hope. I am a true believer that PetNaturals Hip+Joint for Dogs chews are a benefit to both dogs who need joint support right now, or dogs who could be started on a preventative.

First Impression: When I first received the canister in the mail, I was concerned about leakage as my entire mailbox smelled like lemongrass. It was a pleasant smell, but strong. Upon opening the box, I realized it was not liquid, and there was no spillage, but the wipes had slightly dried out from not being sealed. I sprayed a mist of water inside the canister and that seemed to bring them full back to life. Aside from the smell being amazing and fresh, the wipes themselves are very soft and easy to pull from the canister and use.

My Thoughts: Besides loving the packaging and scent of these wipes, I love how effective they are and that they are all natural. When used on the chi's, I notice a huge reduction in mosquitoes that swarm around them, we've had no fleas, and I've found no ticks on either dog as well. I couldn't ask for more from an all natural product, I'm one happy fur-mama!

I've finally been sucked into the Memebox craze, and it's quickly formed into an addiction. I amobsessed with skin care, and Korean skincare is as good as it gets! This box is my first ever Memebox, and there are many more to come!

I love surprises, but the biggest catch to these boxes is that they ship within 4-5 days or purchasing. Awesome! Because most Memeboxes have a month or longer away ship-date when released.

Doggie Lawn #Review ~ Your Dog's Backyard, In A Box!

What is Doggie Lawn?
Doggie Lawn is a subscription service that delivers real grass in a box to dogs living in the city, or dogs who are unable to make it outdoors to do their business. You have the option to choose the frequency of your delivery (once or twice a month), and the lawn comes in two sizes (petite pooch and full-sized fido). Plans for the petite size start at $28, and plans for the full-size start at $39 (prices vary based on delivery frequency and what state you live in). You also have the option to add on a plastic holding tray for an additional $4. You can also choose to use a tray you already have, or to keep the lawn in the box it arrives in (and you can dispose of your lawn in).

Doggie Lawn is the perfect solution for city-dwellers, potty training puppies, old or aging dogs who have a hard time making it all the way outside, or housetraining a newly adopted dog to your home. Doggie Lawn is also a great eco-friendly or "green" (get it, green=grass, haha) alternative to pee pads, and a replacement option for a litter box for dogs. Because, lets be honest, what indoor dog wouldn't love the feel of fresh grass underneath their cute little paws?

I received a petitepooch lawn for the chi's to try out, and was amazed at the super fast delivery! 

I opened the box as soon as I got it in the door to get some fresh air to the grass.

The grass was a beautiful shade of green, and the special compacted soil was very moist.

The bottom of the box was lined with a wax-like coating to prevent moisture from seeping through the box to the floor.

I found that the Doggie Lawn lasted just over a week (9 days to be exact) before needing to be tossed. Doggie Lawn recommends very lightly watering your grass 1-2 times per week to extend the life of the grass, however, the grass we received was quite heavily saturated and did not need watering at all during the time we had it.

 We did keep it in an area where it would receive sunlight to stay green, and despite the light and the water, the lawn turned brown and dried up.

I find this to be a fairly reasonable amount of time for a lawn to survive indoors, especially a lawn that is going to be used as a doggie bathroom. I feel that if you choose a weekly or even bi-weekly subscription, you would not experience any troubles like this.

My only complaint about the Doggie Lawn is that, despite the waxy coating on the bottom of the box, moisture did in fact seep through the box and began to mold. This issue could be easily avoided by taking advantage of the single-time purchase of the plastic holding tray.

Despite the mold and excess moisture, the Doggie Lawn is still a product I would absolutely recommend. While we personally don't have exclusively indoor dogs, we do occasionally use pee pads, and know how bad they can smell, and know what a hassle they can be. Not the mention the plastic and chemicals they contain that contribute to the clogging up of our nations landfills. I also remember how difficult it can be to potty train a new puppy, and having a lawn indoors and easy to access during those early few months, would be an absolute life-saver to me.

Pawtini.com #Review ~ It's time to enjoy shopping for your dog!

Picking and choosing where to shop for your dogs can be a tough choice. It can be so overwhelming searching for the perfect shop online, that carries products both you and your dog loves and is affordable along with having great service. I was thrilled when I found all these qualities at Pawtini.

Upon pulling up the site, I found a very clean and easy to understand home site.

I was immediately prompted to enter my email address to have a free toy added to my order placed with the corresponding email account.

I'm not one to argue with free ;-)

It was easy for me to search for exactly what I was looking for.

The search results were plainly laid out and easy to read and navigate through.

When I found an item that happened to be "sold out" I was able to enter my email address to be notified when the item was back in stock. And in exchange for having to wait, I would also receive a coupon once the item was re-stocked as well.

It was very easy for me to find items that I knew the chi's would love, and I found the prices to be very competitive compared to other places I've shopped online.

I was very happy with the value of the items I'd found.

It took less than a week for my order to be processed and received. Very quick, no damage, and happy dogs!

Overall, I have no complaints about Pawtini what-so-ever. I found their website to be easy to use and navigate, I found it easy to find what I was looking for and to place an order, and I enjoyed the fast shipping (that was also free with my order of $50+). June 2014 #Ipsy Glam Bag

The Ipsy theme for June was "Pretty in Paradise" and the products I received this month were perfect!

This months bag was curated by Rebecca Minkoff and is definitely a paradise delight! I love the bag, and love that is has a front zipper. I think bags like this are perfect for a beach-friendly wallet with room for lip balm and sunscreen.

Speaking of lip balm... every Ipsy subscriber in June received a NYX butter gloss in one of three shades. I received Apple Strudel, and it's probably the most heavenly thing that has ever touched my lips. Along with the paradise theme, I also received a Marc Anthony beach spray to help give hair a bit of beachy curl. I love the smell of this spray, but unfortunately I just cut off all my hair, so I can't really use the product. I'll be going into my giveaway basket for an upcoming Instagram giveaway I'll be hosting. No worries though, because I also received a beautiful blue shimmer liner from Nicka K that will look perfect in any kind of paradise. I am in love with this liner, and the fact that it's shimmery without the addition of chunky glitters. No sunscreen this month, but instead a sampler of light, medium, and dark Laneige BB Cushion (bb cream in a compact) complete with spf 50. And of course, no paradise look is complete without a great mascara - and this month the choice pick is Be A Bombshell "Lash Out" mascara in black.

This was a great month for Ipsy, well worth my $10!

First Impression: I've never tried a product like this before, so I was both nervous about placing this product so close to my eyes and skeptical that there was a natural product on the market that really could enhance my lashes. I placed my thoughts aside and decided to give it a try. I was intrigued by the tiny little brush that came out the tube. It was very soft, and made it easy to apply the serum directly above my top lashes (Fysiko is not to be applied to your bottom lashes). I have very strong eyebrows already, so I tested this product on my eyelashes only. I paid close attention the first few times I used this serum and experienced no stinging or irritation of any kind.

My Thoughts: I used Fysiko Eyelash Growth Serum, morning, and night, for 16 weeks and am very happy with the results. My lashes are a bit longer, but they are noticeably fuller. I feel like this serum enhanced the lashes I already had, and encouraged new lashes to grow in sparse areas along my lash-line. The price for this product is a little steep, but one tube lasts up to one year. So you're essentially paying just under $12 a month for the chance to skip the mascara and show off your naturally full and gorgeous lashes.
